Meet Our Seminary Students & Their Families

Dawn Alpaugh has been a member of TBRC since 1991. Dawn and her husband started attending the church when they moved into the area and traveling back to their last church became too time consuming. They fell in love with the church immediately as people seemed to genuinely care about one another and their relationship with God. They became part of a Home Group within a few months and the rest is history as they say. Both of their children were baptized at TBRC and they could see the ways that the members took their promises of baptism seriously in the caring and nurturing of these little ones. TBRC was their home! About seven years ago God began working on Dawn's heart to make a change in her life. She fought hard to resist this call, but the pastors at the time, Suzanne and Kevin Hart, and her husband would not let her ignore God. She finally decided that God was calling her to take a class at New Brunswick Seminary. She admits she thought it was a little crazy, but it seemed harmless enough. She began classes in 2004 and since then has come under the care of our local Classis in an effort to eventually become a Minster of Word and Sacrament. Dawn states that it has been a challenging road, but a blessed one as well. She has been cared for by her family and friends along the way and is now serving as a contracted student pastor for an RCA congregation in Doylestown, PA. Dawn and her family miss being at TBRC to worship each Sunday, but they are confident that God has led all of them to this point and that He will continue to lead them along His path. Dawn says that she is forever thankful for the care and support of TBRC, which brought her to this place.
