Our new interim pastor is Rev. Richard L. Brihn. Pastor Richard
was born in Raritan, NJ in 1939. He is the youngest of four
children. Third Reformed, Church in Raritan is his home
church. He is an alumnus of Rutgers - The State University
and New Brunswick Theological Seminary.
Pastor Richard served as pastor of the High Falls, NY, Community
Church from 1969-1977. He is the founding pastor of
the First Reformed Church of Cary, NC, 1978-1999. In
1998, Richard was certified by the RCA as a Specialized Interim
Minister. He served five congregations in New York and
New Jersey. After moving from Cary, North Carolina to the
Allentown area of Pennsylvania, he served the Bushkill, Pennsylvania
church as a part-time interim minister. Richard has
also been serving as a pulpit supply pastor.
While Pastor Richard is with us he will be working approximately
20 - 25 hours a week. This time includes Sunday worship,
office hours on Wednesdays, and one day at home for
sermon preparation.
