| Three Bridges Christian Nursery School provides a
full curriculum that prepares children for future
success, presented in a Christian atmosphere by staff members who are
devoted to the education of young children. The school also offers
a LUNCH AND LEARN program and an ALL SCHOOL MUSIC program. To make an
appointment to attend the Open House or to make a private appointment

Three Bridges Christian Nursery School is an outreach of the
Three Bridges Reformed Church and has been serving the community
for the past 33 years. The school prides itself on the fact that
it is a traditional nursery school with the philosophy that
every child is eager to learn and can do so only if he or she is
happy, healthy, and comfortable with his or her surroundings. We
believe that play is a very important learning tool - that many
aspects of basic education, colors, shapes, numbers and letters,
can be taught through play.
Our school has several classes that meet the needs of
children of various age levels. The 2-day AM classes welcome our
youngest children. These children are first time students and
begin the year learning the school routine. During the year they
concentrate on colors, shapes, and nursery rhymes. This class
meets on Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday.
The 3-day AM and PM classes are classes that enroll children
ages 3 1/2 and older. Most of the children in the class have had
one year of pre-school but it is the perfect class for the older
pre-school child who has never been to school before. In this
class which meets on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings a
child will be introduced to letters, numbers, science projects
and review color and shapes.
The year before entering Kindergarten is a very important one
and our 4-day AM class is an excellent choice for your
4-year-old. This class covers many of the things presented in
our other classes but in a more "big kid" way. The
four-day child also does science projects, independent craftwork
and many projects that foster self-respect. The four-day
children also take several field trips that show them how the
community works. This class meets Monday through Thursday.
Our Time for Fives class is geared for the child who
"just misses the kindergarten cut off date" and has
been to pre-school. This class is very small with enrollment limited
to 10 children. The class meets in a closed classroom
setting and the children learn responsibility while exploring
letters, numbers, science and the world around them. This class
meets Monday through Thursday afternoons.
During the course of the year the school has many special
activities for parents and children. At the very beginning of
the year, the parents are invited to school for a Parent
Information Night. We continue the year with a traditional
Back-to-School night in October. All of the holidays are
celebrated with special attention being given to Thanksgiving,
Christmas and Easter.
The fact that we are a Christian Nursery School gives us the
opportunity to tell children the wonderful message that God
loves them and will always take care of them. We incorporate
Bible stories and songs weekly and have the advantage of having
Ministers who are interested in working with our children.
We welcome questions about our school and visitors may come
at any time. If you are interested in finding out more about our
school please call the school office at (908) 782-4201 and ask
for Mary Jane Dunworth, director.
